I Boschi del Castagno is located about one km from the center of the small village of Valmorel, in the municipality of Limana, almost 15 km from Belluno.
The small farmhouse stands on the slope of a mountain surrounded by hazel, beech and chestnut trees that, during harvesting periods, become a tourist attraction and a source of nutrition for the local fauna.
After the renovation of the building we started an organic vegetable farm and, at the same time, started to dedicate ourselves to hospitality.
There are three warm and welcoming rooms overlooking the Col Visentin mountain and its woods. There is also a restaurant with vegan and vegetarian menus of all organic products.
What We Offer
We have recently renovated the house we live in and three of our rooms are available to guests. They overlook the meadows and fields in front of the Col Visentin mountain and its woods. In the valley beyond there are only a few houses: those of the village of Tassei and other more distant villages. […]
You will be able to taste a cuisine based on organic vegetable products grown right here. The food is enriched with flavors typical of this uncontaminated place and is supplemented by goods produced by the nearby farms. The vegetables have an intense flavor thanks to their natural growth in a soil maintained with fertility and […]
Those who stay in the B&B can cook with the products of our garden; especially in Summer and Autumn. We do not use chemical products for fertilization or anti-parasitic and fungicidal treatments: only patience, elbow grease (for pulling weeds), and organic goat manure for fertilization. Since 2011 we have been certified as organic by the […]

Since the Summer of 2003 we have lived in the last house on the street. We stopped here by choice and we like to share with others the peace and joy that it gives us to live here! In front of the B & B there is only the sloping lawn and the fields where we grow our vegetables; cultivated with love. At the end of the street (past our house) there are only fruit trees, beehives for our bees, wild woods, and meadows that flower for many months of the year. All of this is nestled among the slopes and peaks of the Col Visentin mountain.
Living in these special places where nature has not undergone excessive disfigurement, we want to do our best not to damage the environment. We have therefore chosen to:
- Use natural products as much as possible when cleaning rooms
- Use wood and solar thermal panels as a heat source
- Produce electricity with photovoltaics
- Compost organic waste in the vegetable garden
- Use low consumption light bulbs
- Use self-produced or ecological detergents and soaps
- Prefer local and organic suppliers
- Switch off the wifi system at night to limit harmful magnetic fields
- Provide information on critical consumption and lifestyles in harmony with nature
